Sponsorship & independence
How a sponsor may appear on the Resource Hub, and where a sponsor will never appear. No sponsor is appointed. This page does not publish prices.

Key points
- Sponsors have no say in design advice, checking, recommendations or editorial content.
- Use “Sponsored by” only when the sponsor does not control the content. Use “Advertisement” when they do.
- Design, checking, quotes, service pages and paid or signed outputs stay free of sponsor marks.
- Current sponsors: none.
1. No influence on advice
Sponsors have no input into design advice, checking, recommendations, editorial content, the news briefing or any future estimator. They see hub content when it is published.
2. No product recommendations
Guides describe generic solutions, for example proprietary shields or a steel or timber mat. They do not name a brand as the one to use. Where several suppliers exist, the page either lists them in the same way or lists none.
3. No sponsor defaults in tools
A tool will not pre-select, rank or favour a sponsor's product. The BRE470 designer's pre-loaded rig library is published equipment data, not a sponsor placement.
4. Paid engineering work is ring-fenced
No sponsor mark on design packs, calculations, check certificates, RAMS outputs, Toolbox exports, Scaffold Master exports, the BRE470 Official Design Pack, quotes or service pages.
5. Conflicts of interest
Current sponsors are listed on this page. There are none.
If a TWCD design or check later involves a current sponsor's equipment or design, the report will say so in these words: “[Company] is a current sponsor of the TWCD Resource Hub. This relationship has had no bearing on this design/check.” The client can ask for a neutral alternative.
An independent check of a sponsor's own design: for a category 2 check, TWCD will disclose the relationship and get the client's written agreement before accepting. For a category 3 check, TWCD will decline. Category 3 on this site is an independent check by a separate organisation.
6. No implied endorsement
The wording is “Sponsored by”. It is not “Approved by”, “Recommended by” or “Partner of choice”. A sponsor may not say TWCD endorses, approves or has checked their products, and may not use TWCD's name in marketing without written approval for that use.
7. Labels
This follows CAP Code rules 2.1 and 2.4 and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.
- The sponsor pays and has no control over the content: label it “Sponsored by [Company]”.
- The sponsor supplies, writes or approves the content: label it “Advertisement” or “Advertisement feature”. “Sponsored” on its own is not the label for that case.
- In a newsletter, “Sponsored” or “Ad” sits on the sponsor block itself, not only in the footer.
- Every sponsor link uses
rel="sponsored".
8. Refusal and termination
TWCD can refuse or end a sponsorship, including for a safety prosecution, a reputational issue, or a breach of this policy.
9. Who will not be accepted
- Temporary works design consultancies.
- A firm whose designs TWCD is currently checking.
- An organisation that would compromise a professional-body relationship.
10. The briefing stays neutral
Sponsors cannot have an incident or a prosecution removed, softened or delayed, including one that involves them. If a sponsor appears in a briefing, that item will say so.
11. Annual review
Once a year, TWCD will add a short note on this page confirming whether the policy was followed.
Current sponsors
None.
Sponsor this section
To ask about sponsoring a hub section, email david@temporaryworksconsulting.com or use the contact page. TWCD does not publish a rate card until it has its own audience figures. Do not expect audience numbers in reply until they have been measured.
This policy is TWCD's own rule for the hub. It is not a statement that a professional body or an insurer has reviewed it.
